Abby Blanchard

Abby Blanchard (she/her) is an emerging dance artist, originally from Prince Albert, SK on Treaty 6 territory. Growing up, Abby trained and performed in every discipline her studio had to offer and attended competitions across the province. She also took part in dance examinations, most notably completing her CDTA Advanced Jazz and Tap exams and her RAD Advanced 2 ballet exam.

Miss Abby brings seven years of teaching and choreographing experience with her. She holds a BFA with Dance Honours from Simon Fraser University, is an associate member in the CDTA tap and jazz division, and is Acrobatic Arts Module 1 and 2 certified. She is now attending the Decidedly Jazz Danceworks’ Professional Training Program.

Miss Abby believes that dance has a purpose in everyone’s life, whether it’s your creative outlet, a fun way to be active, something you wish to pursue, or simply for the love of moving your body to the beat of the music. In the studio, she hopes to cultivate a space where each child’s unique connection to dance is both honoured and supported.
