Samara earned a science degree from the University of Calgary in 2008, and during that time her love of dance and movement led her to pursue additional studies in yoga.  Samara holds a 200 hr yoga teacher training certification with additional completion of advanced teacher training modules.  She has taught many yoga classes to students from age 10 to 60.  Her training in both yoga and dance has made her the teacher she is today.  Samara strives to strike a balance between definition and structure, and freedom and fluidity in her classes.  She emphasizes proper body alignment and technique while working to maintain a positive environment for her students to learn self expression and how to be part of a team.  She strives to teach her students self awareness and respect for self and others in the classroom, giving them life skills that will help them thrive beyond the dance studio.
